Centres of Excellence

A number of large research centres are associated with the Department of Chemistry. Several of these are so-called Centres of Excellence with top-level research.

Centres of Excellence supported by the Danish Research Foundation

The following Centres of Excellence are supported by the Danish Research Foundation:

Carbon Dioxide Activation Center (CADIAC)

Centre for DNA Nanotechnology (CDNA)

Centre for Materials Crystallography (CMC)

Centre for Insoluble Protein Structures (inSPIN)

Quantum mechanics for Large molecules – Energy And Properties (qLEAP)

Funded by the European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant, qLEAP is a research center in theoretical chemistry with particular focus on developing high-accuracy quantum chemical methods for large molecular systems.

Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Centre (iNANO)

iNANO is associated with some of the research groups at the department, especially those that conduct interdisciplinary research.
