Green Chemistry for Advanced Materials (GCAM)

The research alliance Green Chemistry for Advanced Materials (GCAM) started the 1st of January 2015, based on funding from Innovationsfonden.

GCAM’s objective is to carry out strategic research based on supercritical fluid technology (SCFT) for future industrial successes and tackle new challenges in nanocatalysis, functional nanocomposites, nanostructured permanent magnets, and chemical recycling of plastics.

The scope of the project is:

- Develop novel SCFTs for synthesis of advanced functional nanomaterials.

- Develop reactor units capable of large scale synthesis of advanced functional nanomaterials.

- Exploit in situ scattering techniques to investigate processes in supercritical fluids.

- Recycle plastic through decomposition of plastic waste.

- Strengthen the position of Danish industry through utilisation of supercritical fluids.

- Educate excellent candidates within advanced materials for employment in the Danish industry.
