Center for Energy Materials

Center for Energy Materials (CEM) is based at Aarhus University (Dept. of Chemistry) and funded by the Danish Council for Strategic Research. The center consists of multiple partners from academia and industry, Danish as well as international.

The goal and aim of CEM is the development and study of solid-state materials which are crucial to the production, storage or conversion of energy. As such, CEM contributes strongly to the development of new "green" energy technologies, which are of increasing importance worldwide as fossile energy reserves are exhausted or rendered inaccessible.
