This page describes how to use the department license for MestreNova owned by the Department of Chemistry, Aarhus University. Please note that the license is only for students and employees at the Department of Chemistry. Other users must obtain a user agreement with the Department of Chemistry. I cannot provide support for your problems with MestreNova. You have the following options

• In case of problems with licenses for MestreNova, please contact AUIT. They can assist you with network problems etc.!
• In case of problems with MestreNova, please contact the MestreNova support.

In order for your MestreNova program to run, the software needs to obtain a running license key from the AU license server, even though you have installed the license file on your computer. This means that 

1. your computer must be on the chemistry LAN network or
2. your computer must have an active chemistry VPN client turned on.

1. To install MestreNova, download the latest version of the software from the MestreLab web site. Follow the installation instructions.
2. Download the license file from the menu on the right. To install the license your computer must be able to contact the campus license server. This means
   1. your computer must be on the chemistry LAN network or
   2. your computer must have an active chemistry VPN client turned on.
3. When launching MestreNova for the first time, you'll be prompted to install a license. Select the downloaded license file and proceed. Normally this works if your computer meets one of the requirements in point 2 above.
4. If you have any problems accessing the license server, please contact NFIT, then they will help you fix the network problems.

As part of our department license, we are licensed to use the iPad version of MestreNova (MNova tablet). To install this program, please follow the guidelines

1. Fill in this form to receive a confirmation email
2. Follow the installation instructions in the email
