Welcome to Astrid, Lars, Kasper and Kalinka
The Center for Chemistry of Clouds welcomes three new PhD students and a new Center Manager.
Astrid Nørskov Pedersen finished her Bachelors in Chemistry last year and has now started her PhD in the the CATCH group supervised by Jonas Elm, where she will be using quantum chemical methods to investigate aerosol surface reactions as well as processes influencing water uptake, focusing especially on the role of organic molecules.
Kasper Friis Kjær finished his Bachelors in Chemistry and has now started his PhD in the APC group supervised by Merete Bilde, where he will investigate reactive uptake in aerosol particles forming organosulfur compounds through chemical analysis of aerosol samples from chamber experiments.
Lars Henrik Olesen finished his Master's degree at Copenhagen University and has now started his PhD in the MIDAS group supervised by Ove Christiansen, where he will investigate how temperature can be used to model potential energy surfaces and calculate thermodynamic properties.
Kalinka Hansen finished her Master's in Nanoscience in 2022 and has now been employed as the Center Manager for C3 on a one-year contract, as a maternity cover for Ditte Thomsen.
