PhD students presenting a poster and participating in the full meeting will receive a certificate for participation in 2 ECTS course activities from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain).
Each invited speaker will be requested to start their presentation with a short general introduction to the specific research field, then provide an overview of the research frontiers including own and others' work, and finally present a conclusion that includes an outlook for future research directions. The aim of this organization of all talks is that both young and experienced researchers have a chance to learn something new.
Furthermore, each speaker will be requested to provide their presentations (all or at least most of the slides as a PDF file) and relevant research articles. Thus, each invited speaker will electronically provide documentation of the most important basics, e.g. as a review paper, and also provide examples of the ‘cutting edge research’ within her/his field, e.g. as one to three research articles. This documentation will be available for all registered participants two weeks before the meeting on a restricted-access website.
Two poster sessions will allow interaction between young and experienced scientists. Poster prizes will be given to young scientists to honour their outstanding scientific achievements.
The list of speakers and poster presenters is constantly updated. Furthermore, other speakers will be invited based on the submitted abstracts.
