From bachelor celebrations to new beginnings
Last week was all about bachelor students at the Department of Chemistry, as we celebrated those completing their bachelor’s projects while helping the next group of students prepare to begin theirs.
On Thursday, we celebrated our new bachelor graduates and their achievements. As part of the festivities, several students took on the challenge of Bachelor Madness, presenting their bachelor’s projects in just three minutes. The short presentations offered a glimpse into the wide range of topics our students have been working on and gave them the opportunity to share their research with fellow students and colleagues
The following day, attention turned to the next generation of bachelor students at our Bachelor Matchmaking event. Here, the department’s research groups presented their work through posters, giving students the opportunity to walk around, meet researchers and learn more about the different research areas at the department.
The event is designed to help students get a better sense of the research taking place across the department and make a more informed choice when selecting a research group and topic for their own bachelor’s project.
Congratulations to our new bachelor graduates, and we look forward to welcoming a new group of students into our research groups!
