2026.08.18 | En tand med et tvist

Tidligere postdoc i gruppen Adrián Rodríguez-Palomo, Professor Henrik Birkedal og kollegaer har lige udgivet en forskningartikel i Nature Communications der afslører narhvaltandens hierarkiske opbygning – lige fra de grundlæggende byggesten til den imponerende, fremstående tand!

Ved hjælp af en lang række teknikker, der spænder fra laboratoriet til undersøgelser ved forskellige synkrotronfaciliteter, opdagede det internationale forskerhold, at tandens snoede spiralform og dens byggesten har modsat kiralitet!

Artiklen har allerede vakt stor opsigt og er blevet omtalt i både nationale og internationale medier!

PhD student Anne Marie received a poster award at the annual DanScatt meeting in KU in Copenhagen for her poster on imaging bone biopsies from XLH patients – congratulations!

2026.03.22 | Sandbjerg Gods | DBRW early career investigator award

PhD student Anne Marie M. Faaborg received an early career investigator award at the annual Danish Bone Research Workshop held at Sandbjerg Gods in Sønderborg for her abstract, 3-minute talk, and poster on microstructural heterogenity in XLH bones – congratulations!

2025.12.19 | Dept. of Chemistry | Succesful PhD defence

Congratulations to Anastasiia Sadetskaia who has obtained her PhD degree titled “MULTIMODAL CHARACTERIZATION STUDIES OF BONE IN HEALTH AND DISEASE: Insights into bone structure based on subjects in normal, modeled chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes conditions”.

We look forward to continuing our work with Anastasiia, as she continues in the group on a postdoc!

2025.10.06 | iNANO | PhD student Anne Marie wins prizes at iNANO Autumn School

Big congratulations to group member and PhD student Anne Marie M. Faaborg for winning not only a presentation prize from the annual iNANO Autumn School, but also two prizes for the short science movie she and her team produced at the retreat held at Fuglsøcentret October 3-5.

AXIA manager Maja received a poster award at the annual DanScatt meeting in SDU in Odense for her poster on imaging cellular voids and connections in bone using nanoCT – congratulations!

2024.09.02 | DTU | PhD student Anne Marie wins prize for best CINEMAX project

Congratulations to group member and PhD student Anne Marie M. Faaborg for winning the prize for best project with her team at the CINEMAX PhD course on high-resolution tomography analysis held at DTU August 26-30.
