Disordered materials have often outstanding performace compared to their crystaline counterparts, which makes them intersiting for research and industrial applications. However, to elucidate their structure is much more challenging than for crystals. In my research, I am working on developing tools based on electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction for the investigation of the structure of disordered materials.
