For catalytic support materials aluminium oxides are often preferred. The supercritical synthesis method will provide a route into catalytically unexplored areas of aluminium oxide nanomaterials. Aluminium oxide prepared in SCF will be impregnated with active metals (Co, Ni and Mo), using standard producers. However, SCF preparative routes provide an opportunity for preparing support and active metals in one single synthesis step.
